2015 Allergy & Asthma Day Capitol Hill
Every May, Allergy & Asthma Network goes to Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., to share issues and initiatives with members of Congress and staffers on behalf of people with asthma, allergies, anaphylaxis and related conditions.
The annual event brings together lawmakers, community leaders, families impacted by asthma and allergy, healthcare professionals and industry leaders.
In 2015, volunteers and advocates from around the country convened on Capitol Hill to meet with members of Congress and advance legislative initiatives that impact asthma and allergy patients, including the following issues:
- Telemedicine Expansion in Medicaid
- School Asthma Management Plan Act
- Healthy Homes
- Improving School-Based Healthcare Services
