Ohio – Stock Epinephrine Law
Congratulations! Ohio has a law permitting schools to stock and administer non-patient specific epinephrine auto-injectors in case of a life-threatening allergic reaction.
However, our job is not done yet. Each law or regulation must be implemented or put into action by a board or an agency.
Allergy & Asthma Network supports stock epinephrine implementation in schools and provides education and resources to support a seamless rollout. For more information, visit:

In addition to Dr. Rafeeq, two other ACE volunteers spoke at this conference: Matthew Greenhawt, MD, of Michigan and Don Bukstein, MD of Wisconsin. Dr. Greenhawt spoke on “Food Allergy” and Dr. Bukstein spoke about “Health Economics of Allergy and Asthma”.
Allergy & Asthma Network wrote an ACE Spotlight article about Dr. Rafeeq’s efforts to get stock epinephrine in Ohio schools. The article, “ACE Advocate Says Get Involved” was published in Spring 2014 issue of Allergy & Asthma Today magazine.
