Anaphylaxis Community Experts (ACEs)

The award-winning Anaphylaxis Community Experts (ACE) program was created in 2010 to increase anaphylaxis awareness across the country.

Teams of volunteer allergists, school nurses, asthma educators and other healthcare professionals join with members of their community to educate individuals, families, school personnel and community groups about the risks, causes, symptoms and treatment of anaphylaxis.

Their key message? Appropriate and timely treatment of anaphylaxis, a life-threatening medical emergency, saves lives.

Mission:

The ACE program seeks to raise awareness, reduce anxiety and eliminate deaths due to anaphylaxis through education, advocacy and outreach.

The program was created by Allergy & Asthma Network and developed in partnership with the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI) and the National Association of School Nurses, with sponsorship from Mylan Specialty L.P.
